He is survived by: his wife Margarita Rivera (Berrios); his children, Lillian (Israel), Gerardo Jr. (Angel), Edgardo (Maria), Joel Rivera and Rebecca Lopez; his grandchildren, Melissa, Alex, Edgardo Jr., Marielly and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Orlando and Sofia; and his siblings, Zoraida, Joe, Carlos and Carmen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended friends.
