It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerardo Rivera of East Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano Rivera (Monseratte Colón) and Gerardo; and his siblings, Blas, Cruza and Irene.
He is survived by: his wife Margarita Rivera (Berrios); his children, Lillian (Israel), Gerardo Jr. (Angel), Edgardo (Maria), Joel Rivera and Rebecca Lopez; his grandchildren, Melissa, Alex, Edgardo Jr., Marielly and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Orlando and Sofia; and his siblings, Zoraida, Joe, Carlos and Carmen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home (34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, CT 06109).
