He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Sr. Griffin and Annie Griffin (Kelly); his wife Carol Lee (Hunt); his brothers, John, Robert, Gerald and Joseph; and his brother-in-law John Gibbs.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Candace Hammond (Steven) of East Hartford; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon and Alexis; and his siblings, Kathleen Gibbs (John) of Uxbridge, MA, Tery Griffin (Deb Cohen) of Wilmington, DE and Rev. Thomas Griffin of Colchester, CT. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel (30 Carter St, East Hartford, CT 06118). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
