It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonia J. Ginther of East Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Timothy Francis Ginther; her parents, Romeo Roy and Jane Roy (Veilleux); and her sisters, Jeanette Verrill, Suzanne Roy, Sylvia Mercier and Paulette Shanahan.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Caporale of Litchfield, NH, Karen Fornarelli (John) of Colchester, CT, Susan Stoughton of Burlington, CT and Joseph Ginther (Jessica Dolan) of East Hartford; her grandchildren, Laura Jacobs (Taylor), Linda Caporale (Zoe Bellio), Steven Caporale (Amanda Becotte), Robert Ginther, Vito Fornarelli, Jacqueline Stoughton and Bridgette Stoughton; and her great grandchildren, Vaela Fornarelli and Mallory Jacobs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
