He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel A. Edgerton and Ruth Moore Edgerton. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Risley Edgerton; his sister-in-law Joyce J. Edgerton of Ocala, Florida; his sons, David Risley Edgerton (Laurie B. Edgerton) of Manchester and Alan Moore Edgerton (Craig Long) of San Diego, CA; his grandsons, Todd Alan (Sarah G. Edgerton) of Manchester and Jordan Risley Edgerton (Mandy L. Edgerton) of South Windsor; his great grandchildren, Matthew J. Edgerton and Noah Edgerton (Sofia Edgerton); and his sister-in-law Carolyn A. Haley of Centereach, L. I.
