Robert A. Nielsen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 20, 2025, at the age of 79, Robert A. Nielsen of East Hartland, Connecticut passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert A. Nielsen to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Noralf Nielsen and Kari Nielsen (Larsen); his siblings, Arne Nielsen and Berniece Moore; and his nephews, Paul Slater, Timothy Slater and Tommy Slater.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy Nielsen (Berg) of East Hartland; his children, Catherine Taylor of Torrington and Arthur Taylor of East Hartland; his grandchildren, Taylor and Harley Clapper; his brother Kenet Nielsen of Granby; and his nieces, Deborah Constable (Chuck) of East Hartland and Sandra Lisella (Scott Poeppel) of East Hartland.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home (364 Salmon Brook St, Granby, CT 06095). The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's memory may be made to the East Hartland Volunteer Fire Department, 34 South Road, East Hartland, CT 06027.
