With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Caterina Cuomo Grosso of East Haven, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Caterina left this world on December 11, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Giuseppe Grosso; and her siblings, Giuseppe (Anna), Vittorio (Ornella), Augusto (Filomena), Ottavio (Rosetta) and Antonio Cuomo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dolores Jasek (Robert) of Madison, Angela Meikle (Scott) of East Haven, Anna Romano (Enrico) of Macomb, MI and Mary Grosso (Fred DiBenedetto) of North Haven; her grandchildren, Evan, Joseph, Isabella Jasek, Giuliano, Emilio, Ava Romano and Mason Scott Meikle; and her sister Margherita Giraulo (Angelo). She is also survived by her family and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Porto Funeral Home (234 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Church (80 Taylor Ave, East Haven, CT 06512).
