Though Ed may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ed touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Martinez and Enriqueta Martinez; and his sister Maribel Martinez. He is survived by: his significant other Susan Friello; his children, Rosanna Martinez of Springfield, MA and Edwin Martinez of Hartford; his stepdaughters, Debra Friello-Lendroth (Jeffrey) of East Haven and Donna Friello of Davenport, FL; and his siblings, Alma Martinez, Luzaida Torres and Moises Torres Sr. (Rosie). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (43 Kirkham Ave, East Haven, CT 06512). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
