With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward S. Basel of East Haven, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on May 9, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Arabolos Basel; his parents, William E. Basel and Antiopi Peperidou Basel; and his siblings, Louis Basel and Helen Faraclas.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Kwet (Fred) and William Basel (Andrea); his sister Florence Barakis; and his grandchildren, Daniel Kwet (Yla), Michael Kwet, Elena Almodovar (Miguel) and Ariana Lutfi (Nassib). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
