It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Silva of East Haven, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Marcell and Dorothy Marcell (Rist); her husband Christopher Silva; and her siblings, Sebastian Marcell, Linda Mattei and Josephine Conte.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Silva (Carol) of East Haven and Joann Burke (William) of East Haven; her grandson Nate Silva; and her sister Diane DeFrancesco (Gaetano) of West Haven.
