He is survived by: his wife Linda Giammattei (DiMarzo); his children, Gerald Giammattei (Jessica) of Wallingford and Valerie Mendez (Hugo) of East Haven; his grandchildren, Erin Giammattei, Patrick Giammattei, Elizabeth Giammattei, Gianna Mendez and Logan Mendez; and his sisters, Donna Giammattei of West Haven and Joyce Giammattei of Brookfield.
