He was predeceased by: his brother David Carangelo; and his grandparents, Claude Sr., Frances Bailey (Wetherbee), Andrew and Theresa Carangelo (Russo).

He is survived by: his parents, Andrew Carangelo and Claudia Carangelo (Bailey) of East Haven; and his daughters, Lea Carangelo of East Haven and Alysa Carangelo of East Haven. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.
