He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ruggiero and Elizabeth Mascola Ruggiero; his granddaughter Christina "Pookie" Ruggiero; and his sibling's children, Michael Ranfone and Elizabeth Ann Vandevender.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Ranfone Ruggiero; his daughters, Debra Ruggiero (John Gunther), Lisa Ruggiero and Michelle Poleshek (Anthony); his grandchildren, Christopher Marinaccio, Steven, Matthew Poleshek and Tia Ruggiero; and his nephews, Robert, Frank Ranfone and Carl Ruggiero, Jr..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. (11 Wooster Pl, New Haven, CT 06511). A Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (29 Wooster Pl, New Haven, CT 06511).
