He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Amy Diaz; his brother James; and his parents, Lester Thomas and Jeanette Senate Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Massaro Thomas of East Haven; his daughters, Michelle Kaliszewski (John) of Hamden, Cynthia DeRosa of New Haven and Elizabeth Diaz (Rudolph) of East Haven; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Krista, Christina, Joseph, Matthew, Ricky, Geraldo, Nicole, Caroline, Rudolph and Sean; and his siblings, Gail Skulley of Killingworth and Douglas Thomas. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
