She was predeceased by: her sibling Jean Monahan; and her parents, Joseph Monahan and Helen Prochowiz Monahan. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Ely (Lynn) of East Haven, Heather Tashner (Jason) of Yuma, AZ and Hugh Ely Jr. (Heather) of Middletown; and her sisters, Patricia Porto of Meriden and Donna Perrelli of East Haven. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
