He was predeceased by: his parents, Luigi Gabrielli and Antonia Gabrielli (Giulietti); his wife Carmella "Millie" Gabrielli (Ansaldo); and his brother-in-law Ernie Scorel. He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Gabrielli of Guilford and Judith Pospesil (Edward) of Guilford; his granddaughter Cara Pospesil; his sister Caroline Scorel of West Haven; his nephew Ernie Scorel (Patricia); his nieces, Karen Scorel and JoAnn Gallahan (John); and his friend Dave DeRosa.
