She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Yorks and Gertrude Yorks (Gavette); her husband Joseph Macknis; her son Stephen Macknis; and her sister Virginia "Ginger" Yorks.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanne Rapuano (Mark) of Clinton, CT and Cynthia Jabaut (David) of East Haven; her grandsons, Michael Rapuano and Tyler Jabaut; and her siblings, Marcia Thomas (Ralph) of Northford, Judith Shields (Phillip) of Clearwater, FL and Mardella "Della" Lamoureux (Joseph) of Virginia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
