He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Palmisano and Margaret Palmisano (Johnson); his wife Elinor Roddy Palmisano; and his siblings, Ignacio, Joseph, Andrew, Philip, Frank Palmisano and Rose D'Angelis.

He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Palmisano (Keith Zalinger) of Branford, Laurie Gibbons (Peter) of North Haven, Beth-Lee O'Connor (Matthew) of Hamden and Tracy Castillo (Armando) of Northford; his grandchildren, Christopher, Rachel Dickerman, Michael Reynolds (Melissa), Stephen Sudac (Samantha), David Sudac, Matthew Gibbons, Jordan, Kaylee, Ruby, Tessa O'Connor, Nicholas, Benjamin Ghobrial, Skylar and Sebastian Gage; and his great grandchildren, Gabriella Sudac and Emma Reynolds. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
