We announce the death of Suzanne Lane (East Lyme, Connecticut), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 88. Suzanne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Suzanne’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband John "Jack" Lane Sr.; and her grandchildren, John Lane III (Nicolette) and Riley Eldridge. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Lane, Dr. John Lane Jr. (Irene), Deirdre Lane, Shauna Lane (Don Walden) and Megan Eldridge (Patrick). She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren; her 3 great-grandchildren; and many beloved relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Mary Suzanne Lane Memorial Scholarship at The New London Adult Ed., a cause close to her heart.
