He is survived by: his wife Nelda Fortier (Weidman); his children, Noreen Leighton (James) of Vernon, Kyle LeFort (Deborah) of DeLand, FL and Karl Fortier (Kelly) of East Granby; his sister Loretta Turner of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Lindsay Audibert (Andrew) of Torrington, CT, Nathan LeFort (Presley) of Phoenix, AZ, Sabrina Leighton (Brenndan Hauser) of Hartford, Renee Leighton of Vernon, Christopher Fortier (Kate Schwed) of Nashua, NH, Matthew Fortier of East Granby and William Fortier of East Granby; and his great grandchildren, Claire and Callan Audibert.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home (419 Buckland Rd, South Windsor, CT 06074). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of East Windsor (124 Scantic Rd, East Windsor, CT 06088).
