He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Kelly (Sherwood); his parents, Thomas Kelly and Adeline Kelly (Peso) of Vincent's Medical Center; his son George Kelly, Jr.; his siblings, Thomas Kelly (Elsie), James Kelly and Adeline Marino (Frank); his siblings-in-law, Walter Sherwood (Franny), Arthur Sherwood and Barbara Laufer (Frank); and his nephew Kevin Kelly.
He is survived by: his daughter Louise; his caregivers, Derek, Katie and Sam; his children, Patricia Kelly-Flis (Dennis) of Smithfield, Coreen Cardamone (Jerry) of Norwalk and Shawn Kelly (Tina) of Shelton, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Michael Flis (Alexi), Amanda Maynard (Thomas), Steven Flis, Olivia Kelly and Abigail Kelly; his great grandchildren, Cecilia Rose Maynard and Lillian Diana Flis; his sister-in-law Colleen Kelly; his nieces, Lauren Kelly, Erin Guarino (Kelly), Kathleen Kelly and Jenny Ames; his nephew Michael Ames; Lucinda Ames. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
