Mary Brooks Grabowski Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Brooks Grabowski of Ellington, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Brooks Grabowski to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlan Alcorn and Irene Alcorn; her former husband Phillip Hodgson; and her siblings, Bob and Shirley Alcorn.
She is survived by: her husband Richard H. Grabowski of Ellington; her children, Gail Liszewski (Tony) of Lynchburg, VA, Mark Hodgson of Ashford, Glen Hodgson of Ashford and Joel Hodgson of Ellington; her grandson Josh Hodgson; her great grandchildren, Harlan, Luke and Penelope; her granddaughter Emily Perrotti; her son Leo (Allison Hodgson); and her close friend Jan Starkweather of Ellington.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Ellington Center Cemetery (95 Maple St, Ellington, CT 06029).
