He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Beth Gottier of Ellington; his grandchildren, Bruce Gottier (Laura), Kevin Gottier (Lauren), Julianne Gerber (Tom), Justin Gottier (Joanna) and Janelle Widmer (Jason); his son Doug Schneider (Jane); and his grandchildren, Andy Schneider (Gina), Laura Moser (Matthew), Lanae Trombley (Dylan), Jennie Bahler (Kent), Jesse Schneider (Erica) and Rhonda Schneider. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
