It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vicky Mercier of Ellington, Connecticut, who passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former spouses, Gary R. Calcon and Mercier Sr.; her parents, Andrew M. Pointek and Leona J. Pointek (Kamarauskas); and her siblings-in-law, Donald Setsky, Frank Kawa Jr. and Eileen Pointek.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Mercier Jr. (Lonna) of Ellington, CT and Michael Mercier of Rocky Hill, CT.; her grandchildren, Sarah Demasi (Kris) of Cromwell, CT, Jeffrey Mercier (Jenn West) and Gregory Mercier of Ellington, CT.; her great grandchildren, Carter and Ferryn Demasi; her siblings, Evie Setsky of Enfield, CT, Andrew Pointek Jr. of Enfield, CT and Elsie Schweitzer; and her husband Tom (Peggy Kawa) of Cape Coral, FL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
