She was predeceased by: her parents, Maud W. Joyner and Everett C. Joyner; her husband Robert G. Mooney; her son Christopher J. Nielsen; and her siblings, Carlton Joyner and Lois Parmalee.
She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Nielsen; her grandson Jason DeGray (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Aden DeGray, Kaylee DeGray, Emily DeGray and Johnathan DeGray; and her stepchildren, Robert Mooney, Jr., Paul Mooney, Steve Mooney, Tom Mooney, Dianne Ryan, Mark Mooney and Chris Mooney.
