He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector and Agnes Contois (Ornifer); his siblings, George, Robert Contois and Muriel Saroce; his granddaughter Rachel Lawlor; and his son-in-law Jack Folan.
He is survived by: his wife Rose (Petrone) of Enfield; his children, Glenn Contois (Lisa) of Stafford, Deborah Folan of Enfield, Karen Lawlor (Carmine Petrone) of Somers and Donald Contois, Jr. (Corrie) of Enfield; and his grandchildren, Maria, Matthew, Maxx, Samuel Contois, Emily and Joseph Lawlor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
