He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward J. Strapp and May Strapp (Hagerty); his siblings, James R. Strapp (Linda Strapp) and Alayne C. Campbell (Douglas Campbell); and his brother-in-law Richard Gilbert.

He is survived by : his wife Linda (Rugani); his children, Michael Strapp, Anne (John Gual), Laura (Doug Adams), Christopher (Beth Strapp), Elizabeth (Daniel Lydon) and Jennifer Grace of Suffield, CT.; his grandchildren, Caroline Strapp, Elisabeth Strapp, John Patrick Grace and Edward Grace; and his sister Marilyn Gilbert of Old Saybrook, CT..

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martha Church (214 Brainard Rd, Enfield, CT 06082).
