He was predeceased by: his parents, William Newport and Bella Newport (Vincelette); and his brother Arthur "Bill" Newport. He is survived by: his sister Jacqueline Michaud (Newport); his niece Rebecca Michaud; his nephews, Alexander Usher and Ronald Newport (Christine); his great-niece Kaitlyn Newport; his great-nephew Matthew Newport (Terrance Ching); his nephew Bruce Newport (Kawai); his niece Brenda DeGray (Glen); his great-nephew Justin DeGray (Dionna); his great-niece Megan DeGray; and his niece Nicole DeGray. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels (61 S Rd, Enfield, CT 06082). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Hazardville Cemetery.
