We announce the death of Gerald DiMattia of Enfield, Connecticut, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 91. Gerald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Irene DiMattia (Wolodko); his parents, Genaro (Josephine DiMattia) and Jerry; his stepdaughter Donna Grabinski; his brothers, Lewis "Big Lew" DiMattia and Andrew "Rocky" DiMattia; and his grandsons, Justin Landis and Gregory Orton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Landis (Howard) of New Jersey, Michele DiMattia (Charles Guhne) of Enfield and Andrea DiMattia of Enfield; his grandchildren, David Orton (Annie) of New Mexico, Amanda Berezin (Jake) of Hershey, PA, Keli Kroczewski (Joseph Procopio) of Enfield and Danielle Sparapani (Joseph) of New Jersey; his great grandchildren, Michael Orton of Enfield, Mason, Emmett Berezin of Pennsylvania, Luca, Milo, Isla Sparapani of New Jersey, Mackenzie, Alyssa Rodgers of New Mexico and Ariana Rodgers of Enfield; and his brothers, Nicholas DiMattia of New Jersey, Joseph DiMattia (Penny) of New Jersey, MIchael DiMattia of New Jersey and James DiMattia (Ann) of New Jersey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gerald's name may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
