He is survived by: his wife Ruth Tacy Saretzki; his children, James E. McCarthy, Jr. (Beverly) of Goodyear, AZ, David K. McCarthy of Windsor Locks, CT and Linda J. Mason (Chip) of Farmington, CT; and his sister-in-law Carole Saretzki.
