He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Cheney, and Eda Cheney, Jr. (DeLusso); and his wife Mary Ann Cheney. He is survived by: his son Joseph E. Cheney, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Cheney (Amy) and Melissa Coburn (Brandon). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
