It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Preston Spruill Jr. of Enfield, Connecticut, who passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Spruill Sr. and Alice Thomson Spruill (Thomson); and his sister Gwendolyn Spruill Lawrence. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Spruill (Chadwick); his sister Janet Schmitt (Spruill); his children, Billy Hendrix (LaRae), Marc Spruill (Laurie), Tracy Bourbeau (Mark) and Kristen Johnson (Jon); his grandchildren, Tiffany, Marcus, Daryl, Kayla, Tyrell, Matthew, Cassidy, Joe, Kyrah and Ben; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Olivia, Jett, Noah and Francesca. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
