It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Guy Heath Deutermann of Essex, Connecticut, born in White Plains, New York, who passed away at the age of 83, on April 23, 2024. He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore Deutermann and Marjorie Deutermann (Heath); his siblings, Margaret "Peggy Lou" Stanfield and Charles Deutermann; and his son Douglas Deutermann.

He is survived by : his grandson Cody; his children, Scott Deutermann (Amy) of Holmes, NY and Debra Deutermann Reyher (Mark Reyher) of Deep River, CT.; his grandchildren, Megan, Lauren, Kathryn, Kristin, Elenor Rose, Clint and Abby Gail; his great grandchildren, Alexis Jean, Lainee Faith, Allen Madelyn Rose (Big Al), Cheyenne Rose and CJ; and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and their children.

The military honors was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 250 Hamburg Rd, Lyme, CT 06371.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Guy's name to the Lyme, Old Lyme VFW Post 1467, P.O. Box 192 Old Lyme, CT 06371.
