He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace G. Scott and Harriet Scott (Palm); his son Roger Jr.; and his siblings, Ronald Scott, Noel Scott and Fannie Steinson.

He is survived by: his children, Michael G. Scott of Maine, Valerie Wyzykowski (Steven) of Haddam, Sean Scott (Jennifer) of Deep River and Rhonda Shah (Anish) of East Lyme; and his siblings, Wallace, Lester, David, Gary Scott, Olive Meakem, Patty Everett, Diane Perkins and Barbara Anne Pagano. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut River Conservancy in memory of Roger Scott to support the protection and restoration of the Connecticut River and its tributaries.
