Anthony D. Ciaccia Obituary
Anthony D. Ciaccia, Jr. , 89, of Fairfield, CT passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on Saturday, 7/19/25. Anthony (Tony) resided in Fairfield, CT with his long time love of 40 years, Lola Crosley. Tony was predeceased by his father, Anthony Ciaccia, and Mary Ciaccia, both of Norwalk, CT. Tony is survived by his sister, Mary Pace of Portchester, NY. Tony was a dedicated father to Wayne Ciaccia and father- in-law to Cindy Ciaccia, of Southbury, CT, and Wendy Ciaccia of Danbury, CT. He loved his family and adored his five granddaughters who lovingly called him "Pa": Carly (Stephen) Totilo of Brookfield, CT, Casey Martikainen of Newtown, CT, Samantha (Daniel) Vaz of Huntington, CT, Allie Eurell of Providence, RI, and Grace Eurell of Danbury, CT.
He was also blessed to have seven great-grandchildren: Ava, Alyssa and JJ Totilo of Brookfield, CT, JR and Olivia Martikainen of Newtown, CT and Leo and Mia Vaz of Huntington, CT. Each of these children held a very dear place in his heart. He loved seeing them grow and spending precious time with them. Tony also had extended family whom he loved dearly. The loving Crosley family, Craig, Elena, Chris, Pete, Nick and Lia all of Fairfield, CT. Dona Szor of Shelton, CT, Kenny and Tracey Ludvinsky of Southbury, CT.
Cody Ludvinsky and Panat Cherdchu of Stamford, CT. Taylor and Jimmy Vlamis of Oxford, CT. Retiring from the Norwalk Fire Department as a firefighter, he had many brothers. After retirement he became a starter at H. Smith Richardson golf course for many years to follow. He was an avid golfer who hit an amazing record of 3 holes-in-one over his lifetime on the golf course. Most will remember his infectious smile, jokes at every turn, generosity, patience and just being the guy who would make friends wherever he landed.
Tony will be missed dearly by all who loved him … and he would most likely say "so long" to us all. Until we meet again. Funeral services will be held at 10: 30 A.M. on Saturday, July 26, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
