He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Eileen; his sister Julia of Deep River, CT; his daughters, Heather Vilanova (Paul) and Kelly Whalen; his grandchildren, Emery, Chase and Georgia Vilanova; his brothers-in-law, Kevin Golger (Peggie) and Bob Golger (Denise); his niece Molly Golger; his nephews, Brian and Chris Golger; and his parents, Bernard Whalen and Lovette Whalen. He was also cherished by dogs will be remembered by his family, friends, former students, neighbors.
