He was predeceased by: his parents, George Boyd Tyler, Sr. and Viola Antoinette Boyer Tyler; his wives, Betty Sessler Tyler and Patricia Abraham Tyler; and his sisters, Betty Guerry, Lucy Liebenow and Ann Settle.
He is survived by: his sister Harriet McDonnell of Binghamton, N. Y.. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, five stepchildren, and many other cherished family members and friends.
