He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Bonney. He is survived by: his brother Victor; his grandson Patrick Magoon; and his children, Bonney Lemkin (Jeffrey), James Knick, Jr., Karen Miller (Bruce), Kevin Knick (Peggy), Kathryn Parisi (David), Judith Tellone (Larry), Allison Menendez (Frank), Michael Knick, Mary Knick, Laurie Redston (Dave) and Robert Knick (Joy). He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
