He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Porter (McCabe) and William H. Porter; his wife Joan Porter (Wasko); his brother William H. Porter Jr.; his sister-in-law Jane; his sister Dorothy Oravez (Julius Oravez); his stepmother Lillian Porter; his stepson Gary Greco; and his friend William Hamlett.
He is survived by: his daughter Serena Lynn Phelps (Tom Gatzen); his granddaughter Kylee Phelps; his stepson Olu Terebo (Rachel Chasse-Terebo); his sibling's children, William H. Porter III (Cathy), Debbie Volante (Steve) and Douglas Oravez; his cousin Carole Huse; his sister Dolores Reed; his friend Amy Owen (Berkley Owen); and also, George and Maria.
