He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his children, Domenick and Samantha; his sisters, Beth Luongo and Amy Nakano; and his parents, Joann Galluzzo and Domenick Galluzzo.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Church (834 Brookside Dr, Fairfield, CT 06824). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 at the Oaklawn Cemetery.

“Dear Sarah, Domenick, and Samantha, The passing of Jay, it’s such a sad moment. He was such a courageous, optimistic, and brave man. My prayers were with you for the last 20 months and I hope that the love and comfort of your dear ones will bring some solace and consolation. His devotion, love and warmth for everyone as well his joie de vie was inspirational. It seems to me that in the short time you had .. more than a lifetime of memories were made.
