We are sad to announce that, on August 3, 2025, at the age of 78, Karen E Hira of Fairfield, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Karen departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Karen. Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Hira; and her parents, Margaret Colodonato and Edward Osika. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Hira of New York City and Michelle Hira-Wilson of Fairfield, CT; her grandsons, Jake and Jesse Wilson of Fairfield, CT.; and her siblings, Barbara Castellano of West Milford, NJ and David Osika of Parrish, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Karen's name, a cause that was close to her heart.
