She was predeceased by: her parents, Sanita Capasso and John Capasso of Bridgeport; her siblings, Palma Iodice, Virginia Cellini, Celia Catullo, John, Patrick, Ralph and Anthony Capasso; and her husband Eugene Karpinski (Gene).

She is survived by: her children, Gene Karpinski (Elizabeth Collaton) of Arlington Virginia and Alane Sullivan (Jim) of Rye; her grandchildren, Conor Sullivan (Erika Craven) of Virginia Beach, Casey Sullivan (Zoë Sullivan) of Westport, Andrew Karpinski of Brooklyn, Curran Sullivan of Los Angeles and Lauren Karpinski of Brooklyn; and her great grandchild Emma Sullivan of Westport. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
