With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Margherita Sullivan of Fairfield, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Margherita left this world on October 14, 2025 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael and Arcangela Merola (Rauso); her husband William H. Sullivan; her daughter Patricia Scaglione; her sons-in-law, Domenick M. Scaglione and Stephen C. McLaughlin; and her siblings, Mary Ovens, Nicholas Merola, Ludovico Merola, Carmela Ovens (Lee) and Anna Maniscalco.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn McLaughlin of Stratford and Barbara Sullivan of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Kerry Tolisano (Jay) of Fairfield, Kevin McLaughlin (Erin) of Shrewsbury, MA, Kate McLaughlin of Bridgeport, Laura Scaglione (Dave Pirozzoli) of Seymour and Michael Scaglione of Seymour; her great grandchildren, Emmett, Kyle Tolisano, Dylan Court, Gianna Pirozzoli, Avery, Conor Daley, Siobhan, Keelin and Aisling McLaughlin; and her sister Gloria Centopani of Trumbull. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Pius Church (343 Brookside Dr, Fairfield, CT 06824).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Bridgeport Rescue Mission or Fairfield Prep's Go Forth Campaign.
