The memory of Mary Agortsas of Fairfield, Connecticut, who passed away on December 3, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Constantine G. Agortsas; her siblings, Georgia Katoudi, Konstantinos S. Stavropoulos, Diamando Simopoulou, George S. Stavropoulos and Konstantina Sarla; her sister-in-law Andriana Nikolaou; and her daughter-in-law Patricia Agortsas.
She is survived by: her children, George Agortsas of Mission Viejo, CA and Nia Agortsas of Fairfield, CT.; her grandson Alexander Agortsas; her grandchild-in-law Felissa of Mission Viejo, CA; her great grandchildren, Amilia Agortsas and Anthony Agortsas; her brother Peter S. Stavros of Huntington, NY; and her sisters-in-law, Paraskevi Rouggou of Stratford, CT, Sophia Petrou of Lithoriki and Fokidos. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (4070 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Mountain Grove Cemetery (2675 North Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06604).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Agortsas' memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or to the Philoptochos Society.
