He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Alvarez and Philomena Alvarez. He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Alvarez and Sandra Alvarez; and his nieces and nephews, Alyssa Kiessling (Lars), Alexander Alvarez and Casey Ventimiglia (Chris).
