He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Eileen Ann Sweeney (Hickey); his parents, Paul Sweeney and Mary Sweeney (Curry); his daughters, Kathryn O'Neill (Michael) and Elizabeth Sweeney; his grandchildren, Patrick and Molly O'Neill; and his siblings, Michael Sweeney (Nancy), Robert Sweeney, Joan Sweeney and John Swen (Jeanne). He was also cherished by extended family, in-laws, many cherished nephews and nieces, life-long friends, and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mercy Learning Center in Bridgeport, CT or the Boston Latin School, causes that reflect the values Paul held close.
