It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Raymond Albert Thornberg of Fairfield, Connecticut, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on March 10, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertil Thornberg and Julia Medak Thornberg; his sisters, Barbara Panizari (Joseph) and Nancy Altieri (Arthur); his nephews, John Panizari and Marcus Sabol; and his granddaughter Jennifer McLeod.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Pekar; his sons, Michael (Shannon) of Orange, Christopher (Shari) of Newtown, Thomas (Ilene) of Seymour and James Thornberg (Anne) of Tigard, OR; his grandchildren, Greg, Nico, Colleen, Eric, Pat, Joshua, Megan, Courtney, Julie, Zach and Brendan; his great grandchildren, Elodie, Haisley, Shepherd, Jenna, Ryan, Nicholas and James; his siblings-in-law, Allan Wood and Joann Wood (Lina Thornberg); and his friend Rose Zmarzlak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
