She was predeceased by: her parents, John Joseph Lyons, Sr. and Helen Lyons (Daly); her siblings, Sally Anne Sheremeta (Lyons) and Daniel Lyons; and her niece Melanie Deware (Lyons).
She is survived by: her brother Jack Lyons (Charlotte); her friend Anne Johnson; and her nieces and nephews, Erin Lyons-Barten, Cara Maxwell, Daniel Lyons, Michael Lyons, Jay Lyons, Erik Lyons and Patrick Lyons.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Ellen's memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society or the ASPCA.
