With solemn reverence, we commemorate Anthony Scarpa of Gales Ferry, Connecticut, born in Gardner, Massachusetts, whose life came to an end on May 14, 2026 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his sister Jennie Scarpa Barrieau; and his nephews, Rock Barrieau and Matthew Barrieau. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Scarpa (Sharon) of Mystic, CT and Steven Scarpa (Sharon) of Taftville, CT; his granddaughters, Christen Scarpa-Petrone (Mark) of Keyport, NJ, Courtney Scarpa of Mystic, CT, Erica Scarpa-Podkowiak (Dominic) of Glastonbury, CT and Emily Scarpa of Brooklyn, NY; and his great grandchild Amelia Sophia Podkowiak of Glastonbury, CT. He is also survived by three nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
