She was predeceased by: her husband Michael A. Hughes; and her parents, James McKeown and Mary McKeown (Conlon). She is survived by: her children, Mary (Robert Abel) of Glastonbury, Laurie (Michael Paternoster) of South Glastonbury, Gregory (Jennifer Hughes) of East Hampton, Jack (Gail Hughes) of Palm Coast, FL and Robert (Barbara Hughes) of Centerville, MA.; and her grandchildren, Cassy, Briana, Ali, Kaela, Collin, Sean, Darci, Daniel of Maggie, CJ, Erin and Regan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mulryan Funeral Home (725 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury, CT 06033). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Church (2577 Main St, Glastonbury, CT 06033).
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a Veteran's organization would be appreciated by the family.
