We are sad to announce that on June 6, 2025, at the age of 87, John J. Flaherty of Glastonbury, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Flaherty (Landers); his parents, Patrick Flaherty and Johanna Flaherty (Manning); his son Thomas Flaherty; his brothers, Eugene, Thomas and Paud O'Flaherty; and his sister-in-law Aine O'Flaherty.
He is survived by: his children, Sean Flaherty (Luz) of Newington, James Flaherty (Tasha) and Joan Corradino (James) of West Hartford; his daughter-in-law Colleen Flaherty; his grandchildren, Brendan Flaherty, Kevin Flaherty, Declan Corradino, Erin Flaherty, Ciara Flaherty, Jameson Flaherty, Killian Flaherty, Ronan Flaherty and Marybel Flaherty; his siblings, Martin O'Flaherty (Mary), Joseph O'Flaherty, Michael O'Flaherty (Maureen) and Maire McCabe (Pat) of Ireland; and his sisters-in-law, Myra O'Flaherty of Ireland and Mary Flaherty of Chicago, IL..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home (34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, CT 06109). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Lawrence O'Toole Church of Maria Reina de la Paz Parish (2577 Main St, Glastonbury, CT 06033).
